Terms and Conditions

Effective Date: 09 August 2026

carrywith Terms and Conditions

These Terms govern your access to and use of carrywith, a technology platform that connects people who want an item transported (“Shoppers”) with people who are already traveling and may agree to carry it (“Travelers”). Please read them carefully, together with the carrywith Privacy Policy.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, accessing, or using carrywith in any way, you agree to be bound by these Terms, the carrywith Privacy Policy, and any additional policies, rules, or notices that carrywith makes available in the app and that apply to the features you use. If you do not agree, do not use carrywith.

If you use carrywith on behalf of a business or another person, you confirm that you are authorised to accept these Terms on their behalf.

2. Definitions

  • “carrywith” or the “Platform” means the carrywith mobile and web application, its websites, and related services operated by the carrywith operating entity.
  • “User” means any person who registers for, accesses, or uses carrywith.
  • “Shopper” means a User who requests that an item or shipment be carried from one location to another.
  • “Traveler” means a User who publishes a Trip and may agree to carry an eligible item for a Shopper.
  • “Trip” means a journey published by a Traveler, including its origin, destination, dates, and stated carrying capacity.
  • “Shipment” means the item or items a Shopper asks to have carried, together with the details the Shopper provides about them.
  • “Deal” means an arrangement between a Shopper and a Traveler concerning a specific Shipment on a specific Trip, agreed through carrywith.
  • “Delivery Reward” or “Reward” means the amount the Shopper agrees to pay in connection with a Deal, as displayed in the app for that Deal.
  • “Platform Fee” or “Service Fee” means any fee carrywith charges in connection with a Deal or a Platform feature, as disclosed in the app before the relevant transaction is confirmed.
  • “Payment” means any amount collected, held, processed, released, or refunded in connection with a Deal through carrywith and its payment providers.
  • “Delivery Confirmation” means confirmation, through the mechanisms carrywith provides (including QR handover verification), that a Shipment has been handed over.
  • “Dispute” means a disagreement between Users about a Deal that is raised through the carrywith dispute tools.

3. Eligibility and Account Registration

To use carrywith you must be at least 18 years old, or older where a higher age is required by the law applicable to you or by the payment and verification services used in the transaction. You must also have the legal capacity to enter into the arrangements you make through the Platform.

When you register and while you use carrywith, you agree to:

  • provide accurate, complete, and current information, and keep it up to date;
  • maintain a single legitimate identity and not operate accounts under a false or borrowed identity;
  • keep your credentials, one-time codes, and device access secure, and not share them;
  • complete phone, identity, or other verification steps where carrywith requests them;
  • take responsibility for activity carried out through your account, and notify carrywith promptly of any suspected unauthorised use.

4. Phone, Identity and KYC Verification

carrywith may require a verified phone number, identity verification, and additional know-your-customer (KYC) information before you can use certain features — for example publishing a Trip, accepting a Deal, receiving payouts, or completing certain transactions. Verification may be carried out with the help of third-party providers.

You must not impersonate another person, use another person's documents, or submit false, altered, or fraudulent information. carrywith may decline, pause, or repeat verification where there are legitimate concerns about accuracy, safety, fraud, or legal compliance.

5. Role of carrywith

carrywith provides technology that helps Users discover each other, communicate, agree terms, make and receive payments, confirm delivery, and raise disputes. The transportation arrangement itself is made directly between the Shopper and the Traveler.

carrywith is not a courier, shipping company, freight forwarder, airline, transportation company, importer, exporter, customs broker, seller, buyer, owner, possessor, or carrier of any User's goods. carrywith does not inspect, pack, hold, transport, import, export, or deliver Shipments, and does not guarantee that a Trip will be completed, that a Shipment will be collected or delivered, that a Shipment will arrive undamaged, complete, or on time, or that any item will clear customs. carrywith never takes physical possession, custody, or control of a Shipment, and does not insure Shipments against loss, theft, damage, destruction, tampering, partial loss, or non-delivery.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any obligation or liability of carrywith that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under the law applicable to you.

6. Trips

Travelers are responsible for making sure the information they publish about a Trip is truthful, complete, and current, including:

  • departure location;
  • destination;
  • travel dates and times;
  • available carrying capacity;
  • any restrictions, conditions, or other details shown on the Trip.

If a Trip changes or becomes inaccurate, the Traveler must update it or cancel it using the tools provided in the app, and must inform affected counterparties through the Deal chat as soon as reasonably possible. Cancellations are handled through the cancellation flow in carrywith and may require a reason and supporting information.

7. Shipments

Shoppers are responsible for describing each Shipment completely and accurately, including, where applicable:

  • item description and category;
  • quantity;
  • declared value;
  • weight and dimensions;
  • product link, where the item is purchased online;
  • photographs;
  • origin and destination;
  • required delivery timing;
  • any special characteristics, fragility, or handling needs.

A Shopper must not conceal or misrepresent the true contents, nature, or value of an item, and must not present an item as something it is not.

8. Traveler Inspection Responsibility

Before accepting possession of an item, a Traveler must be given a reasonable opportunity to inspect it and verify its contents against the Shipment details agreed in the Deal.

Travelers should not knowingly accept sealed or concealed packages whose contents cannot reasonably be verified, and should decline any item that does not match the agreed description. Accepting a Shipment does not remove rights that cannot lawfully be waived.

9. Delivery Rewards

carrywith may calculate, recommend, display, or allow negotiation of a Delivery Reward using factors such as route, weight, item category, declared value, timing, and other Shipment information. Where the app shows an allowed reward range or negotiation rules for a Deal, offers must comply with what is displayed at that time.

Any suggested or automatically generated Reward is an indication only. carrywith does not represent that it is objectively correct, that it reflects market value, or that it is suitable for a particular Trip or Shipment. The agreed Reward is the amount the Shopper and Traveler accept in the Deal.

10. Deals and Acceptance

A Deal is formed when a request or offer made through carrywith is accepted by the other User in the app and any required payment or verification step shown for that Deal is completed. Before accepting, each User must review:

  • the Shipment details and photographs;
  • the agreed Reward and any amounts shown in the payment breakdown;
  • the route, origin, and destination;
  • the travel and delivery dates;
  • any applicable fees, limits, or restrictions displayed for that Deal.

The Deal is an arrangement between the Shopper and the Traveler. carrywith is not a party to it.

11. Payments

Payments associated with a Deal are made through carrywith using third-party payment providers. Depending on the Deal, carrywith may facilitate the collection of amounts at the time a Deal is confirmed and their release to the Traveler after the applicable delivery and verification conditions shown in the app are satisfied.

carrywith does not describe itself as a licensed escrow provider or a bank, and does not provide banking, money transmission, or investment services. Where a payment provider is involved, that provider's own terms and privacy policy may also apply to you, and the provider may perform its own checks.

Amounts, currencies, breakdowns, and payment steps are those displayed to you in the app for the relevant Deal at the relevant time.

12. Platform Fees

carrywith may charge service or platform fees in connection with Deals or specific features. Where a fee applies, it will be disclosed to you in the app before the relevant transaction is confirmed — for example in the payment or earnings breakdown shown on the Deal.

Fees may change over time. Any change applies to transactions confirmed after the change is displayed, not retrospectively.

13. Traveler Payouts

Where a Traveler is eligible to receive a Reward, the amount payable is the Reward agreed in the Deal less any fees or deductions disclosed in the app. Payouts may be released after the applicable delivery confirmation and verification requirements have been satisfied.

Payout timing may depend on factors including:

  • delivery confirmation for the Deal;
  • whether a Dispute is open or recently resolved;
  • fraud, security, or compliance review;
  • processing by the applicable payment provider;
  • banking and payment-network schedules, cut-offs, and delays.

carrywith does not guarantee a specific payout time. The status and expected steps for a payout are those shown in the app.

14. Refunds and Cancellations

Cancellation and refund options depend on the stage a Deal has reached and are shown to you in carrywith at the point of cancellation. Where a cancellation or refund is available, the app will display the applicable conditions and any amounts before you confirm.

  • Eligibility for a refund may depend on the status of the Deal, the reason for cancellation, and whether the Shipment has been handed over.
  • Payment-processing costs charged by third-party providers may in some cases be non-refundable, where that is permitted by applicable law.
  • Refunds are returned through the original payment method and may take additional time to appear, depending on your bank or payment provider.
  • Where a Dispute is open, refund decisions may be deferred until the Dispute is closed.

These provisions do not affect statutory rights of cancellation or refund that apply to you and cannot be excluded.

15. Delivery and QR Verification

carrywith provides delivery confirmation tools, including QR handover verification. Scanning or confirming a handover in the app may be treated as evidence that the Shipment was handed over between the Users at that time, and may trigger the next stage of the Deal, including release of the Reward.

You must not:

  • confirm a delivery or handover that has not actually taken place;
  • share verification codes or QR codes other than with the counterparty at the moment of handover;
  • pressure another User into confirming a handover prematurely;
  • tamper with, automate, or otherwise manipulate the verification system.

16. Disputes

If something goes wrong with a Deal, Users should first try to resolve it directly in the Deal chat. If that is not possible, either User may open a Dispute using the tools in carrywith. Disputes include reports that a Shipment has been lost, stolen, damaged, destroyed, tampered with, is partially missing, or has not been delivered.

To help resolve a Dispute, carrywith may review information relevant to the Deal, including chat records, Shipment details, payment records, delivery confirmation data, photographs and other attachments, and account and verification information, in line with the Privacy Policy.

carrywith may facilitate a resolution and may decide how amounts held in connection with a Deal are handled within the Platform. carrywith does not act as a court, arbitrator, or legal representative, and its decisions do not affect your right to pursue remedies available to you under applicable law. Where permitted, carrywith may temporarily pause actions available in the Platform for a Deal or account while a genuine dispute or fraud investigation is being reviewed. Facilitating a Dispute does not make carrywith the custodian, insurer, or guarantor of a Shipment; see the section on Loss, Theft, Damage and Non-Delivery.

17. Meeting and Personal Safety

Whenever Users meet in person to hand over or collect a Shipment, we recommend that you:

  • meet in a safe, well-lit public place;
  • confirm the other person's identity and the Deal details before handover;
  • inspect the Shipment and its contents;
  • keep the conversation and agreement inside carrywith so there is a record;
  • leave any situation that feels unsafe, and contact local authorities if necessary;
  • follow local laws, airport rules, and venue rules.

You remain responsible for exercising reasonable judgement in your in-person interactions with other Users.

18. Customs, Duties and Taxes

Shoppers and Travelers are each responsible for understanding and complying with all laws and rules that apply to the movement of their items, in the origin, transit, and destination jurisdictions, including:

  • customs laws and procedures;
  • import and export controls and licensing requirements;
  • aviation and security rules, including cabin and baggage restrictions;
  • airline policies and carrier conditions;
  • taxes, duties, and levies;
  • declaration and reporting obligations;
  • any other applicable local regulation.

carrywith cannot and does not guarantee customs clearance. Customs, border, aviation, and other government authorities may inspect, question, delay, refuse, detain, seize, or confiscate goods, and may impose duties, taxes, fines, or penalties in accordance with applicable law. Any resulting charges are the responsibility of the Users concerned, as between themselves and the relevant authority.

Where carrywith displays carrying limits or route-specific restrictions in the app, those limits apply in addition to — and never instead of — the legal obligations above. Nothing in these Terms overrides mandatory legal rights or duties.

19. Prohibited and Restricted Items

You must not offer, request, list, hand over, accept, or carry any of the following through carrywith:

  • illegal drugs, narcotics, and controlled substances;
  • prescription medicines where their transport is not lawful, properly documented, and permitted for the person carrying them;
  • weapons, firearms, firearm parts, replica weapons, and ammunition;
  • explosives, fireworks, and pyrotechnics where their transport is prohibited or restricted;
  • hazardous, toxic, corrosive, flammable, compressed, radioactive, or otherwise dangerous goods;
  • stolen goods, or goods obtained unlawfully;
  • counterfeit goods, pirated media, and items that infringe intellectual property rights;
  • human remains, human organs, tissue, or bodily fluids;
  • hazardous biological or infectious materials;
  • protected wildlife, live animals, and animal or plant products whose transport is restricted or unlawful;
  • cash, negotiable instruments, or valuables where their transport is restricted or requires declaration that has not been made;
  • items prohibited or restricted by any airline, carrier, or airport involved in the Trip;
  • items prohibited or restricted by customs or other authorities in the origin, transit, or destination jurisdictions;
  • any item that is unlawful in the origin, transit, or destination jurisdiction, or that is sealed or misdescribed so its contents cannot be verified.

carrywith may publish a separate, more detailed prohibited items policy, and may remove, block, or restrict listings, Deals, or accounts that create safety, legal, regulatory, or fraud risk.

20. Traveler Responsibility for Legality

Travelers must independently determine whether they are legally permitted to carry a particular item on their route, with their airline, and into their destination. If you are not certain, do not carry the item.

The fact that a Shipment appears on carrywith, or that a Deal can be created for it, is not a representation, approval, or confirmation by carrywith that the item is legal, permitted, or safe to transport.

21. Shopper Responsibility for Legality

Shoppers must not ask a Traveler to carry any item that they know, or reasonably ought to know, is prohibited, restricted, unsafe, inaccurately described, or unlawful in the origin, transit, or destination jurisdiction. Shoppers must not mislead a Traveler about what is being carried or attempt to use a Traveler to avoid a legal obligation.

22. Customs Declarations

Users are responsible for making truthful, complete, and timely declarations to customs, airlines, border officials, and other government agencies, and for retaining any documentation those authorities require.

carrywith does not provide legal, customs, tax, or regulatory advice, and nothing shown in the app or in these Terms should be treated as such advice. Seek professional or official guidance where you are unsure.

23. Assumption of Risk

Peer-to-peer transportation carries inherent risks. By using carrywith you acknowledge that these risks include, among others:

  • loss, theft, damage, destruction, tampering with, or partial loss of an item;
  • non-delivery, late delivery, or delivery to the wrong person;
  • delay, missed travel, or cancelled Trips;
  • customs inspection, detention, refusal, seizure, or charges;
  • disagreements and Disputes between Users;
  • misrepresentation, fraud, or non-performance by another User;
  • risks associated with meeting and interacting with other people in person.

You agree to use reasonable care and judgement in managing these risks. This section does not exclude any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

24. Loss, Theft, Damage and Non-Delivery

carrywith is a technology marketplace that connects Shoppers and Travelers. carrywith does not take physical possession, custody, or control of any Shipment and is not the carrier of the Shipment. The Shipment is handled solely by the Users involved in the Deal.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, carrywith is not responsible for loss arising solely from the acts or omissions of Users or other third parties, including where a Shipment is:

  • lost;
  • stolen;
  • damaged;
  • destroyed;
  • tampered with;
  • partially missing;
  • substituted;
  • delayed;
  • abandoned;
  • confiscated or seized by authorities;
  • not collected;
  • not delivered;
  • delivered late;
  • delivered to the wrong person;
  • damaged during travel;
  • damaged during baggage handling;
  • damaged during airport or security screening;
  • damaged during customs inspection;
  • damaged during temporary storage;
  • damaged during collection or handover.

Travelers are responsible for exercising reasonable care over a Shipment while it is in their possession, and for complying with the Deal and applicable law.

Shoppers are responsible for describing the Shipment accurately and, where packaging is their responsibility, for packaging the item appropriately for travel.

If a Shipment is lost, stolen, damaged, tampered with, partially missing, or not delivered, the affected User should report the issue immediately using the dispute and support tools in carrywith, and provide any available evidence such as photographs, receipts, chat records, and delivery confirmation details.

carrywith may investigate and may facilitate resolution of a Dispute using the evidence available to it. carrywith facilitating a Dispute does not mean that carrywith took physical custody of the Shipment, insured the Shipment, guaranteed the Shipment, guaranteed reimbursement, or guaranteed successful delivery.

carrywith does not provide shipment insurance, and nothing in these Terms creates an automatic right to reimbursement or compensation from carrywith. If a protection or reimbursement programme is ever offered, its scope and conditions will be presented to you separately before it applies.

Nothing in this section excludes or limits any liability or right that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under applicable law, and this section is to be read together with the Limitation of Liability section below.

25. Ratings and Reviews

After a Deal, Users may rate and review each other. Reviews should be honest, relevant, and based on your own experience. Reviews and profile content must not contain:

  • false or fraudulent statements;
  • harassment, abuse, hate speech, or threats;
  • unlawful, obscene, or infringing content;
  • impersonation or misleading identity claims;
  • content posted to manipulate ratings, including incentivised, traded, or coordinated reviews.

carrywith may remove or restrict ratings, reviews, or other content that breaches these Terms or platform rules.

26. User Communications and Chat

You are responsible for the messages, images, voice notes, locations, and other content you send through carrywith. Do not send unlawful, abusive, deceptive, or infringing content, and do not use the chat to arrange anything prohibited by these Terms.

Communications relating to a Deal may be retained and, where necessary, reviewed for purposes such as safety, fraud prevention, customer support, Dispute resolution, and legal compliance, as described in the Privacy Policy.

27. Off-Platform Transactions

You must not use carrywith primarily to discover another User and then deliberately move the transaction off the Platform in order to avoid applicable fees, payment handling, verification, delivery confirmation, or safety mechanisms.

Arrangements made outside carrywith are entirely between the Users involved. They may not benefit from the Deal records, payment handling, delivery confirmation, dispute tools, or support that are available for eligible in-platform transactions.

28. Fraud and Platform Abuse

The following are prohibited:

  • creating fake, duplicate, or automated accounts;
  • publishing fake Trips or fake Shipments;
  • payment fraud, stolen payment instruments, and chargeback abuse;
  • fake, traded, or coordinated reviews and ratings;
  • identity fraud, forged documents, or misuse of another person's data;
  • false or manipulated delivery confirmations, including misuse of QR handover;
  • attempts to bypass, probe, or interfere with security, verification, or rate limits;
  • misuse of promotions, referrals, credits, or rewards;
  • collusion between accounts to obtain payments, refunds, or ratings improperly.

29. Account Suspension and Termination

carrywith may restrict, suspend, or terminate an account, or limit access to specific features, for legitimate reasons including breach of these Terms, suspected fraud, safety risk, prohibited goods, legal or regulatory requirements, payment abuse, repeated serious complaints, or threats to platform security.

Where appropriate, and where required by applicable law, carrywith will give you notice of the action and the reason for it, and a way to ask for it to be reviewed. You may close your account at any time; closure does not affect obligations already incurred in relation to an open Deal or Dispute.

30. Third-Party Services

carrywith relies on third-party services to operate, which may include payment processors, identity and document verification providers, messaging and one-time-code providers, authentication providers, mapping and location services, and push notification services.

Those providers operate under their own terms and privacy policies, and carrywith does not control their systems. Availability of some features may depend on them.

31. No Guarantee of Users

carrywith does not guarantee any User's:

  • identity, beyond the specific verification checks actually completed;
  • conduct, honesty, or reliability;
  • completion of a Trip or a Deal;
  • condition, authenticity, or value of a Shipment;
  • ability to obtain customs clearance;
  • outcome of any transaction.

A “Verified” badge or similar indicator reflects only the verification steps that have actually been completed for that account. It is not a guarantee, endorsement, certification, or recommendation of the User by carrywith.

32. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, carrywith and the carrywith operating entity are not liable for the acts or omissions of Users, for the condition, legality, safety, or delivery of any Shipment, for the loss, theft, damage, destruction, tampering with, partial loss, or non-delivery of any Shipment, or for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss, or loss of profit, revenue, data, or opportunity, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Platform.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the total aggregate liability of carrywith in connection with a particular Deal is limited to the amounts you paid to carrywith in connection with that Deal.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Consumers keep all statutory rights that cannot be waived.

33. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify carrywith and the carrywith operating entity against reasonable losses, damages, liabilities, and costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from third-party claims caused by your unlawful conduct, your handling or transport of prohibited or restricted goods, false or incomplete declarations you make, your infringement of another person's rights, or your breach of these Terms.

This obligation does not apply to the extent the loss results from carrywith's own breach or negligence, and it does not apply where you are a consumer and applicable law prevents it.

34. Intellectual Property

carrywith, its name and logo, its software, interfaces, designs, graphics, text, and other platform content are owned by or licensed to the carrywith operating entity and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, scrape, or create derivative works from them except as permitted by law.

You keep the rights to the content you upload, such as photographs, descriptions, and messages. By uploading it, you grant carrywith a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt in format, and display that content only as reasonably necessary to operate, support, secure, and improve the Platform, and to handle Disputes and legal obligations.

35. Privacy

How carrywith collects and processes personal information is described in the carrywith Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. Please read it to understand what data is used for verification, payments, chat, notifications, and Dispute handling.

Read the carrywith Privacy Policy.

36. Changes to the Service

carrywith may add, change, suspend, or remove features, eligibility requirements, limits, and platform policies, and may make some features available only in certain regions or to certain verified Users. Where a change materially affects an open Deal, carrywith will act reasonably and in accordance with applicable law.

37. Changes to Terms

carrywith may update these Terms from time to time — for example to reflect new features, operational changes, or legal requirements. The updated Terms take effect on the effective date shown at the top of this page.

Where a change is material, carrywith will take reasonable steps to notify you in advance, such as through the app or a notification. Changes are not applied retrospectively to transactions already completed. If you do not accept the updated Terms, you should stop using carrywith and may close your account.

38. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the carrywith operating entity is established, and the courts of that jurisdiction have non-exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from them.

If you are a consumer, you keep the benefit of any mandatory consumer protection rules of the country where you live, and you may also be able to bring proceedings in the courts of that country.

Before starting formal proceedings, we ask you to contact carrywith so we can try to resolve the matter directly.

The carrywith legal entity and governing jurisdiction are being confirmed and will be stated explicitly in this section before these Terms are relied on commercially.

39. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be applied to the maximum extent permitted, or severed if that is not possible, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force.

40. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any other policies carrywith incorporates by reference, form the entire agreement between you and carrywith regarding your use of the Platform, and replace any earlier understanding on that subject, subject to applicable law.

41. Contact Us

For questions about these Terms, or about a specific Trip, Shipment, Deal, or Dispute, please contact us through support@carrywith.uk, which routes your message to the carrywith support team along with the context needed to help.

A registered postal address will be added here once confirmed.
